AAA provides teacher-approved Yamaha, Jupiter, Eastman, and Canzona models that match the high standards of Weston's exceptional music programs.

🎷 Middle School (WMS)

Jeff Holmes has been leading Weston's music program with dedication and vision for years, and the results speak for themselves. From the energy of Spectrum concerts to the magic of holiday performances, his ensembles consistently impress audiences and inspire students.

Most remarkably, Jeff has guided hundreds—perhaps thousands—of young musicians through one of the most challenging periods of their lives: the teenage years. His ability to keep students engaged, growing, and passionate about music during these crucial years is a testament to his exceptional teaching and genuine connection with his students.

Every accomplished musician can remember their first music teacher—the one who made them believe they could do it, who turned those first awkward sounds into something that felt like music, who kept them coming back when quitting seemed easier.

For countless young musicians, that teacher is Koryn Dirschel.

Getting beginners off on the right foot is arguably the hardest job in music education. The instruments are new and awkward. The sounds aren't pretty yet. Frustration comes easily, and confidence is fragile. One discouraging experience in those critical early weeks can end a musical journey before it really begins.

Koryn navigates this delicate phase with exceptional skill. She knows how to spark initial interest and, more importantly, how to sustain it. She reads when a student needs encouragement, when they need a challenge, and when they simply need to remember why they wanted to try music in the first place. Her recruiting efforts aren't just about numbers—they're about creating genuine excitement for music-making and building the foundation for long-term success.

The proof is in her ensembles: students who stay engaged, who develop proper technique from the start, and who approach music with enthusiasm rather than obligation. Koryn sets them up to succeed, and we're honored to support that mission with instruments that work with her, not against her—quality rentals that help beginners experience early wins and build lasting confidence.

Hannah Brooks brings dedicated instruction to WIS's string program, working with young violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists as they develop foundational technique. We're pleased to support her students with professionally set-up instruments from our in-house luthiers.
